Depending on the purpose stations can operate both in the constant pressure mode and in the mode of maintaining the required flow rate. Depending on the configuration pumping station may include pumping units (working and spare), pipelines, safety and control valves, instrumentation  (pressure gauges, pressure sensors, flowmeters),  screen filters, VFD panel
