Strainers are flange-type filter elements for cleaning the medium from large and small mechanical impurities (100-1000 microns), such as dirt particles, scale, rust, mechanical chips.
The filter mesh is a cylinder. Dirty water enters the cylinder. Purified water is discharged through the drain. Contaminants accumulate on the inner walls of the cylinder. When it becomes necessary to clean the screen (pressure drop across the screen reaches a certain value or a timer is triggered, or in manual mode), the controller opens the relief valve and activates the cleaning scanner or brushes. The scanner is a hollow tube with several nozzles. The inner cavity of the pipe communicates with the atmosphere in the slurry pipeline through a relief valve. The scanner performs rotational-translational movement about its axis. Thus, the suction nozzles of the nozzles move over the surface of the grid in a spiral, successively cleaning the entire area of the grid. Water rushes into the scanner and carries away the accumulated impurities due to the pressure difference between the filter inlet (working pressure in the pipeline) and atmospheric pressure in the sludge pipeline behind the relief valve.
